Christmas In Dixie II
We went to Atlanta for Christmas. It was great to be with family. Everyone is in their Christmas PJ's here - a tradition that both Lars and I grew up with.
A funny holiday story that I want to remember: Another tradition that we and most people have is to open Christmas clothes the night before Christmas Sunday. I warned Toby that it wasn't going to be a toy. But as soon as he opened the present and found a sweater inside he started to cry, threw the sweater on the floor and yelled "No, No, Never!" So much for gracious children. I'll have to work on that....

I miss you, I miss you , Imiss you! Looks like a great Christmas and don't you just love kids!! ;)
Toby fits in with my kids. How could we ever forget: "I never did like stripes, Grandmother." --Aiden Hall, age 5 to his grandmother who made them all pjs--somehow while she was fighting breast cancer.
Don't you just love those grateful children we all have. It makes me want to take away everything my kids own when they act like that. AT least they look cute in those pj's though. And poor Julia, did she just feel horrible or what?
They are all so cute -- and SO grown up! Even my prissy little clothes-crazy girls didn't like their clothes presents this Christmas! Ah well...
our family joke was carried on year after year with us repeating my little brother..."church pants??" in a real whiney voice. the best memories!
That is a great tradition! Everyone buys a new christmas sunday outfit, so why not wrap it?? I'll have to remember that one next year, and hopefully Toby will be ready for the sweater!
You know, Dana, I think it hurt her feelings a little. But, it made for such a funny story that she quoted, often. I gave the pjs to Candi's boys. She says they still quote Aiden when the boys put them on.
Candi! I'm back online since the move and so many cute posts! Okay I LOVE JK's bedroom! I so wish we could come visit. And such cute Christmas pictures. Too funny about Toby! Miss you tons and I promise to update my blog soon!
